Following the update from the government yesterday regarding the Coronavirus/Covid-19 (16.03.2020) we have published a video announcement on our Facebook page.
During this time our priorities remain with the health and well-being of our customers, our teams and our neighbourhoods. The government advice is to socially isolate including not going to restaurants, bars, theatres etc. and we’re not going to contradict that advice. Our doors will remain open and it is up to individuals decisions whether you follow the advice and guidance outlined by the government.
So what are Zaks doing?
We are committed to keeping our doors open for as long as it is safe to do so. All of our Zaks restaurants are 5 star food safety rated which means we’re the best of the best when it comes to food safety, cleanliness & hygiene. We use commercial grade sanitisers, cleaning all furniture and touch points at much higher frequencies throughout the day. Our team were already following the hand washing technique of 20 seconds (or signing happy birthday twice!) but we have now also introduced a new antibacterial product that also creates a barrier on people’s hands so we are going above and beyond to protect our team and customers that come through our doors.
You may have seen on social media our exciting plans to launch a new menu towards the end of March, unfortunately we will be postponing this as we feel our priorities needs to be on the health and well-being of our team and customers in our neighbourhoods at the moment and we feel that’s where our energies needs to go. The new menu will come soon and we will be back with a vengeance after this has passed.
We will continue to monitor the daily advice and guidance and we will post more information as this landscape will inevitably change every time. Please continue to check our feed and Facebook page for further information.
